Dermaroller (Skin Rejuvenation)

 

What is it?

The MT Dermaroller is only available from trained medical practitioners or asthetic therapists . The MT Dermaroller  is a medical roller that is manufactured with many small high quality micro-surgical precision needles mounted around the rolling device. These tiny needles are rolled over the area to be treated and will pierce the skin to a depth of between 0.5mm and 1mm.

Treatment can significantly improve the appearance of:

  • How does it work?

Treatment is pain free with the use of anaesthetic cream prior to commencement. It works by producing hundreds of microscopic needle columns in the dermis of the skin. Tiny needle pricks are introduced into the skin via the dermalroller causing trauma to the skin which  causes a healing response within the tissue which in turn encourages the body to produce collagen in the areas treated. The body continues to repair and produce collagen over a period of up to 6 weeks. The skin continues to improve over the following months. Depending on the type of skin being repaired further treatments can be repeated at the 6- 8 week mark. The number of treatments necessary will depend on the severity of the skin being treated. There will be a definite improvement even after one treatment which is long lasting.

 

Any side affects?

Redness and warmth to the skin resembling moderate sunburn is generally experienced. Usually subsides the same day, a little redness may remain to the next day with no pain. This treatment is an excellent alternative for those whom do not wish to have laser treatment.

 

Cost?

The initial treatment costs $150.00 and this includes your home care products (Cream cleanser and Healing moisturiser).The first treatment takes about 1 hour.  Following treatments cost $104.00 and take about 45 minutes.  3 - 4 sessions may be needed at 6 - 8 week intervals.
