Wake Up Looking Great Every Morning

Permanent Cosmetics, Permanent Makeup, Micro-pigmentation and Cosmetic Tattoo are terms all describing the same thing; the implantation of pigment beneath the surface of the skin with needles.

Any implant of pigment in the skin is tattooing. Some technicians may tell you their procedure is not really tattooing. Some professional organisations will even try to imply prestige by deferring the public away from the word 'tattoo'. This is deceptive! While it is definitely a specialty within the art of tattooing and requires specialised equipment and supplies, together with many hours of specific training, it is still tattooing.

Permanent Makeup requires knowledge of the skin, structure of the face, traditional colour theory as well as colour theory as it relates to implanted pigments. Colour takes on a whole different personality in the skin, because the very skin the pigment is being implanted into has colour of its own that contributes to the final outcome. Fabulous Permanent Cosmetics also requires a thorough understanding of traditional makeup artistry. While it is a form of tattooing, it is a completely specialised form.

The pigment used is iron oxide, a safe non-reactive substance, specially manufactured for implanting into human skin. A powder is suspended in a solution of distilled water, alcohol, and glycerine, which results in a smooth, fine creamy liquid. I create or select the colours as close to your requirements as possible for fair to dark haired people.

Hygiene
All practitioners must have certification for Maintaining Infection Control and a Skin Penetration Licence. Treatments are performed under sterile conditions. The finest quality equipment and individual sterile disposable needles are used to perform these treatments with needles disposed of after each treatment.

Who needs these Treatments?

Both men and women with temporary or permanent hair loss, thinning or faded brows and lashes, hand, arm and shoulder mobility limitations, visual limitations, allergies, contact lens sensitivities, albinism, facial burns, scar discolourations, and dexterity difficulties. It is ideal for women with busy schedules who want the luxury of waking up with their makeup on. There are millions of women over 40, struggling to apply makeup due to normal visual limitations; Permanent Cosmetics are a blessing for these women.

The objective of these procedures is to raise self-confidence; self-esteem and allow for more activity and personal freedom. Indoor and outdoor activities that were impaired by the concern of keeping make up on are once again enjoyed.

Soft, subtle and beautiful eyebrows can be created using advanced techniques in hair simulation. Brows appear to be totally natural as well as lending personal freedom from the laborious chore of applying them each morning and sometimes repeatedly throughout the day.

Other Important things that you should know.
Many things can alter the result of the pigment colour in the skin. Pigment acid and oils in your own skin, using black lotions for eyebrows and eyeliner can result in taking on the black/blue effect, as you have seen in tattoos. It has also been known for the black colour when implanted for eyeliner, in some skins, to move, bleed or spread under the skin, giving a smudged bruised effect. It has only happened in a very small percentage of people but I feel you must be aware that it can happen and is beyond my control, this can happen immediately or a day or two after the treatment. However I do take every precaution to prevent this from happening. Black implanted into the inner and outer corners of the eyes may last indefinitely. Black on the inner part of the eye most times turns a grey colour. The pigment lotion can be permanent or semi-permanent, in some cases it has still been obvious up until 10 years, which means some skins hold the colour more permanently, especially in the eye area.

What Maintenance is Required?

The first visit of the procedure process is the ‘saturation visit’. The second visit is known as the ‘focus’ visit. As the names imply, these visits accomplish the final touches of perfection by focussing on balance, symmetry and detail of the healed result. A procedure may require one or even two perfection visits. There is no charge for the focus visits as long as they are completed within 45 days of the previous visit. Should you decide for whatever reason not to have your focus visit this treatment is not exchangeable for any other treatment.

If a focus appointment is missed, all pending focus visits will be subject to a charge per visit within the same 45 day limit. An ‘Assessment’ visit is encouraged at the end of 1 year to note how the colour has worn and to confirm the client's satisfaction. There is no charge for the assessment. If any colour refreshing is needed, an appointment may be made for a ‘Touch-up’ appointment. Pricing for touch-up appointments is as follows:

1 year $ 100 per procedure
2 years $ 190
3 years $ 220
4 years $ 350
These prices may increase slightly with CPI

Cosmetic Tattoos require maintenance and I recommend you maintain your tattoo and have it refreshed before it fades completely. That’s right tattoos fade just like everything else. How much fading occurs will depend on your lifestyle, with ultra violet exposure as one of the main culprits. You will need to protect your cosmetic investment with sunscreen, sunglasses and avoiding excessive sun exposure.

Consultation
A consultation is required to discuss what your needs are. Consultation visit is free of charge. A cost of $20 is paid for a patch test which is deducted from your treatment cost. Re-scheduling a consultation requires 24 hours notice.  If there is a no show client will not be accepted for future appointment and no refund will be given for patch test.

This special cannot be used in conjunction with any other
